In partnership with Empowerdance, focusing on producing triple threat peformers, the DIPLOMA OF MUSICAL THEATRE program at CPAC is a 2 year full-time course that delivers a Nationally Recognised Qualification in partnership with Empowerdance (RTO 40397) upon completion.
The comprehensive Diploma of Musical Theatre program equips artists for careers in Musical Theatre as well as, Cruise Ships, Cabaret, Theme Parks, and Commercial events and other related positions. With a focus on professional skills, adaptability, and practical experiences, students gain invaluable industry insights from our experienced faculty in a supportive environment. Graduates showcase confidence, skills, and knowledge, leaving a lasting impression wherever they perform. Our aim is to nurture industry-ready artists who excel in their careers and make a significant impact in the world of entertainment.
The Diploma of Musical Theatre course includes intensive technical and industry training in the three core disciplines of dancing, acting and singing. Students dedicate 5 full days per week to intensive classes, while also gaining valuable experience through performances and productions, ensuring a comprehensive and immersive learning journey. Our program aims to prepare aspiring dancers, singers & actors for successful careers in the entertainment industry, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary.
This program covers all the essential genres for a successful career in the Musical Theatre & entertainment industry. These classes include:
Opportunity to spotlight & extend their expertise in their own choice of specialist field as an elective option (eg. silks/hoops, latin, tap).
In addition to dance & performance classes Student’s also study anatomy, musicality, choreography, presentation, theatrical make-up
Learn about professional presentation including CVs, headshots and showreels. gaining skills to help secure a successful career.
To be awarded the CUA50220 DIPLOMA OF MUSICAL THEATRE students must complete 16 units of competency – 6 core units, and 10 elective units. Participants who do not successfully complete all the requirements for the qualification will be issued a Statement of Attainment listing those units attained.
