In partnership with Empowerdance, focusing on Commercial Dance, the CERTIFICATE IV in DANCE program at CPAC is a 1 year full-time course that delivers a Nationally Recognised Qualification in partnership with Empowerdance (RTO 40397) upon completion.

What To Expect From A Certificate IV in Dance Course In partnership with Empowerdance

The program provides an introduction to full-time training, building on the skills required for industry success. The course is comprehensive and the workload rigorous. It is designed as a starting point in the preparation of students working toward a career as a dancer on Cruise Ships, in cabaret, Theme Parks, Commercial events and other related positions. 

Focus Points of The Certificate IV in Dance

The Certificate IV in Dance course compromises practical dance training, developing and refining technical ability across a wide range of dance genres. Students attend 5 days per week of commercial dance & performing arts classes, and participate in practical performances and productions throughout the course. 

Students who commence their full-time training with the Certificate IV in Dance and then upgrade to the Diploma of Dance or Musical Theatre in a 2nd year of study, may receive credit transfer for some units.

CERTIFICATE IV IN DANCE

PROGRAM OUTLINE & FEE STRUCTURE

To be awarded the CUA40120 CERTIFICATE IV IN DANCE students must complete 13 units of competency – 6 core units, and 7 elective units. Participants who do not successfully complete all the requirements for the qualification will be issued a Statement of Attainment listing those units attained. Students may choose to focus on either Commercial Dance OR Musical Theatre via elective options.
